OUR MINISTRY
The main focus of the trip is an evangelistic camp for youth (ages 9-11). We hope to share the good news of salvation with the Athabascan and Eskimo children through a Vacation Bible School format camp week. Teaching about Scripture, Jesus Christ, and the Gospel will be essential elements to our ministry. Modeling a Christian life by how the leaders interact with one another and with the campers is also a crucial aspect of the camp ministry. Other aspects of camp include outdoor activities, singing, and organized games.
LOCATION
KOKRINE HILLS BIBLE CAMP: (www.kokrinehills.org) a ministry of the non-profit Alaska native organization, Koyukon Camp Ministries. The camp is located in the interior of Alaska where Roger Huntington, an Athabascan Indian, is president. In June & July, 30 to 70 campers come each week from up to a dozen Koyukon Indian and Inupiat Eskimo villages. The camp’s primary purpose is making known the Good News of Christ, that many will respond for their own salvation in Him and that God the Father may be glorified.
