RATS


The name of this program is RATS (Read All The Scriptures). This program is for those teens in the high school group who desire to pursue God more fully and develop good Bible study and meditation habits. It is for those who wish to go to a deeper level of discipleship. Those who choose to be a “RAT” will commit to reading the entire Bible in a year. The purpose of this program is:

1. As stated above, it is designed to take the teens to a deeper level of discipleship.

2. It will help them develop good Bible study habits. They will read the Bible every day and hopefully that will help them in the future to continue reading the Bible every day. The hope is that eventually they don’t read because they must but because they want to.

3. It will help them familiarize themselves with the Bible. It is important that they be prepared to give an answer for the faith that lies within them (I Peter 3:15). They will only be able to do that if they know the Scriptures and can clearly articulate the gospel.

4. Lastly, the hope is that it will strengthen their daily walk as they begin to assimilate their reading into their daily lives. We want them to practically apply what they read!
